My credit card has been debited a 2nd time without authorisation,What can I do?
I authorised a payment over the phone of £2.99 and then a month later the same company debited it again for £470 without any authorisation. The company says that i had given authorisation, but i had not.
Answer:you probably paid 2.99 for some sort of trial or introduction package. Somewhere you agreed to their terms of service where it was indicated that you have to cancel the service or else they will automatically charge you the 470. That's usually how it works, and most likely the case. While you did not give permission for the charge, chances are it was written in the small fine print somewhere that you agreed to it without reading.
bank may or may not help you. they are not obligated to, and the company will certainly fight it since you did indeed "authorize" them
Answer:Phone the bank and tell them. They will reimburse your account with the money and send you a form to fill in explaining what happened which you complete and send back to them

Answer:Take it up with the credit card company and ask for the card to be cancelled and a new one issued. the company must have some records of a product or service it has ( supposedly ) provided. once having talked to your card provider, speak to police about having this investigated as a fraud.
