Answer:You can easily check your quotes in internet, for example here – homeinsurance.awardspace.us
Answer:You need to contact your insurance company for the damaged contents eg carpet, tv etc.
The council will be responsible for fixing the ceiling and drying out your house.
Make sure they dry your house properly with fans and dehumidifiers otherwise you will get damp patches and mould problems.
Answer:hello there.
When you say you live in a council house do you mean that the council owns the house? If so, you definitely need to call the council asap. They will either have to fix the problem or tell you what you are able to do to fix this. good luck
Answer:I hope you turned off the water. If your walls are wet it is possible a pipe broke in the wall. '
Answer:The damage to the building is the responsibility of the council – they should get someone in to repair the leak and dry out the property, and make good any damage to walls, floors, fixtures & fittings etc.
The damage to the contents such as carpets etc is your responsibility and you need to contact your own insurer to claim for those.
