Does gym membership go on your creditfile?
hey there i just wondering if i dont pay my gym membership fee (only got 2 months left but cant afford to pay the now)does it show on your credit report like missed payments eg creditcards etc i just lookin for uk only cheers
Answer:Yeah. I have a friend who went for a trial membership at the gym which rolled over to full membership without him knowing it. A year or so later he gets a late bill for $800 and finds out his credit has taken a huge hit… especially considering he didn't have anything else on his report to help out.
Many gyms have a discount (sometimes 20-25%) on the membership fee if you pay in full so personally I would take that option and put it on a credit card. Your monthly payments will more than likely be lower, you'll save a good bit of cash, and you may even get rewards from the credit card company.
