Can anyone give me a step by step guide to starting my own business.?
Hi. I am starting my own business (sole trader) I am a beauty therapist and will be mobile. I am getting mixed advice, some say you need to register your business name etc.. Can anyone give me a simple step by step guide. Thanks
Answer:There is no one step-by-step guide as each business is so different – however these two resources are great and apply for all entrepreneurs:
Starting a Business in Ontario (even if you are not in Ontario it is a great guide) -
http://www.ontariocanada.com/ontcan/1medt/smallbiz/en/sb_yrguide_main_en.jsp
Business Strategy – There is a great site started by my business coach Andy Belanger: http://herosgroups.com/
He offers a free book on running a business for entreprenerus (you do have to register for free but he will not pester you and you can opt out at any time)
It is not the typical big corporate venture advice but designed for small business, home business and entrepreneurs. I found it incredibly valuable – especially as I worked on my consistent customer experience.
Answer:I had a mobile business as a hair stylist. As a beauty therapist, do you have a specific license? If so, you will need to look into your state statutes for doing it mobile. I had a mobile salon business & a license was required for both the salon & cosmetology. For my retail, there was no issue. This was in GA. Consider this along with your business or as a new business…
Im involved with a company called Ardyss International. Through this company, my partner & I are in the business of "reshaping". We help people "reshape" from the inside through our natural nutritional products. We help "reshape" people on the outside with our line of fat-compressing garments that drop inches in minutes while aiding weight loss. We show people how to "reshape" their bank accounts through owning their own business.
I really enjoy what I do because people are so satisfied & happy with how I can make them look & feel. This company, Ardyss satisfies my "2 key elements rule":
1. Moral Soundness-meaning the business must be morally sound to you. Do you believe in the product or service? If it's something you wouldn't dare bring your Mom into…leave it alone.
2. Market Value-it has to be a need and want to the extent that there's enough consumers.
Ardyss has been featured on various networks, such as NBC, FOX AND ABC, to name a few. You can Google the company…its all over YouTube. The results are real…for the consumer & the owner!!
